Bosco Sodi: Clay Cubes

Date and Time: Thursday, March 2 at 5:30PM

Location: Pier 92 Publication Lounge

Please join the artist, Paul Kasmin (New York), Galería Hilario Galguera (Mexico City), and Blain Southern (London, Berlin) at the book launch and signing for Bosco Sodi: Clay Cubes. Published by Hatje Cantz, this richly illustrated publication explores the Sodi’s recent work with clay, from manipulating the raw material into cube form to drying and firing them using a thousand-years-old technique. Stacked into columns, Sodi's structures evoke both timeless architecture and the human body, reduced to its essential geometry. Each cube is unique and shows Sodi’s openness to natural forces and chance—an integral part of the artist's process. Bosco Sodi: Clay Cubes includes text by Dakin Hart, Senior Curator of The Noguchi Museum, and Mark Gisbourne, independent curator and critic.
