The Caddy Court: A Reflection on the Justice System

Moderator Hunter Drohojowska-Philp, journalist, art critic, and author of Rebels in Paradise: The Los Angeles Art Scene in the 1960s, Anne Ellegood, Good Works Executive Director, Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and Nina Totenberg, American legal affairs correspondent for NPR, specialist in the affairs and politics of the SCOTUS, explore the legacy and timeless meaning of "The Caddy Court" and the insight it provides into an extraordinary moment in the history of the United States.

Edward and Nancy Kienholz’s The Caddy Court was presented in the U.S. for the first time since 1997 at The Armory Show 2020. Created in 1986, the work remains remarkably relevant today in the context of significant changes to the U.S. Supreme Court and urges viewers to reflect on the power of the Court and its impact on our daily lives.
