Founded in 2010, Cristin Tierney Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located on The Bowery with a deep commitment to the presentation, development and support of a roster of both established and emerging artists. Its program emphasizes artists engaged with critical theory and art history, with an emphasis on conceptual, video, and performance art. Education and audience engagement is central to our mission.

Beginning in 2020, the gallery spearheaded several online-only projects, including livestream performances, digital residences, an online retrospective and several curated viewing rooms. In addition to its exhibition program, the gallery has released the following printed and digital publications: "peter campus: dredgers," "Dear Mr. Thanatos: Modern and Contemporary Art from Latin America," "The Architectural Impulse," "Janet Biggs: Overview Effect," and "Victor Burgin: Young Oaks."
