The mission of the gallery is to represent artists from around the world by placing their work with collectors and museums, holding major exhibitions and publishing scholarly catalogues and monographs. From time to time, independent curators are invited to mount exhibitions and art critics and writers of color are invited to prepare essays for our exhibition catalogues. A few of our more memorable exhibitions include Conjure, a solo show of work by Aisha T. Bell, curated by Derrick Adams; Mirrored by Nature, featuring work by Oasa DuVerney, David Rios Ferreira, Tajh Rust and Adrienne Elise Tarver, curated by Corrine Gordon, How Did You Get This?: The Spaces We Inhabit, featuring work by Zalika Azim, Elliott Jerome Brown Jr, Colette Veasey-Cullors, Daonne Huff, Anders Jones, Melvin Harper and Deborah Willis; and, RED curated by Nico Wheadon, featuring work by Jaishri Abichandani, Felipe Baeza, Joseph A.
