Established in 1979, The Robert Koch Gallery exhibits and maintains an inventory of artwork that spans the history of the photographic medium. While we specialize in photography, we exhibit works from all media and provide a platform for increasing the understanding of the cross fertilization of different art forms. Areas the gallery specializes in are experimental periods from the 1920s-1930s and 1960s-1970s. From inception, our mission has been to help define and participate in the evolving understanding of the history of photography. We actively seek out and exhibit significant new artists and promote lesser-researched frontiers in the history of the medium, while offering the finest examples by established masters of photography. We participate in art fairs internationally and have published monographs cataloging the works of our artists and holdings.
