Galleria Lorcan O'Neill
Cerith Wyn Evans
Galleria Lorcan O'Neill opened in 2003 to make exhibitions with living artists in Rome. The gallery brings international artists to Italy - the first two exhibitions were with Richard Long and Jeff Wall - and brings Italian artists to a wider global audience. Martin Creed, Tracey Emin, Anselm Kiefer, Kiki Smith, and Rachel Whiteread have exhibited with us. We have worked with Enrico Castellani, Francesco Clemente, Giorgio Griffa, Luigi Ontani, and Emilio Prini on exhibitions in Italy and abroad. We show and support a younger generation of artists: Celia Hempton, Eddie Peake, Gianni Politi, Pietro Ruffo, and Prem Sahib. In 2014 the gallery moved from Trastevere to a large 17th century stable building in the heart of Rome, offering more exhibition as well as outdoor space. Our programme includes readings, screenings, and performances in Rome, as well as many offsite projects around the world.
